Right-to-left languages

Sell in Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Urdu, and other right-to-left languages. When a customer views your store in one of these languages, Helix mirrors the whole layout so it reads naturally from right to left.

What changes

  • Text, menus, and page layouts start from the right.

  • Drawers — cart, search, filters, the mobile menu, and the chat drawer — slide in from the other side.

  • Arrows, dropdowns, carousels, and pagination point and move the right way.

Customers viewing the same store in a left-to-right language keep the normal layout. The extra right-to-left styles only load for right-to-left languages.

Settings that name a screen position stay where you put them. A Custom popup set to Bottom right stays at the bottom right, so it still avoids whatever you placed it to avoid.

How to turn it on

There is no theme setting — the layout follows the language the customer is viewing.

The How to translate your theme guide walks through each step.
