# Header Styling

## Icon Size

Sets the size of every icon in the header — search, cart, account, and recently viewed — from one place.

Text label sizes are set separately on each block. This setting affects icons only.

## Color Scheme

Sets the background, text, and icon colors for the whole header. The header doesn't take its colors from the page, so always pick a color scheme here.

## Transparent Header

When the header floats over a section as a transparent overlay, it uses a separate color scheme so text and icons stay readable against the section behind it. See [Transparent Header](/helix/header-group/header/transparent-header.md) for which sections can trigger it.
