# 404

The section shown when a visitor lands on a URL that doesn't exist. Unlike the other page sections, it is an empty canvas you fill with blocks — so you can turn a dead end into a route back into the store.

## Settings

### Layout

| Setting                | Description                                                                                                                                                                     |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Width                  | **Page** — Keeps the content within the page width set in your theme settings. **Full** — Stretches the content across the full browser width, with a small space at the edges. |
| Height                 | **Auto**, **Full screen**, or **Custom** with a **Custom height** value.                                                                                                        |
| Alignment              | Horizontal alignment of the content.                                                                                                                                            |
| Position               | Vertical position of the content within the section.                                                                                                                            |
| Gap — Desktop / Mobile | Spacing between the content blocks.                                                                                                                                             |

### Background

| Setting                         | Description                                                                    |
| ------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Media                           | **None**, **Image**, or **Video** behind the section.                          |
| Image / Mobile Image (optional) | The background image, with an optional separate mobile image.                  |
| Video                           | Shopify-hosted background video.                                               |
| Overlay / Overlay color         | A color layer over the background media.                                       |
| Parallax effect                 | Scroll motion for the background — None, Fixed, Vertical, Horizontal, or Zoom. |

### Padding
