# Badges

Manages product badge appearance and behavior across product cards and product pages. Use it to highlight special product states like Sale, Sold out, collection labels (New, Best Seller), or Custom tags.

## Sale Badge

Appears automatically on any product with a compare-at price. The choice is *how* the discount reads — each format lands differently:

Shows a plain **"Sale"** label.

## Collection Badges

Surface editorial labels — "New Arrival", "Best Seller", "Exclusive" — across your catalog without editing products. Assign a badge to a collection and every product in it shows the badge.

Run up to 3 at once, each with its own label, background, and text color — e.g. "New" for fresh arrivals, "Sale" for a promo collection, and "Staff Pick" for curated products, all together.

If a product is in multiple badged collections, the first configured badge wins. Order your three badges by commercial importance.

## Custom Badge

For products that don't fit a collection rule — "Limited Edition", "Award Winner", "Handmade", or any one-off label. Its text comes from a product metafield, giving per-product precision with no collection to manage.
